Since 1994, Odhikar has documented State-led human rights violations and stood with victims in pursuit of justice. Following the collapse of Shiekh Hasina’s regime on 5 August 2024, the Interim Government took office amid a student-led uprising. A UN fact-finding report detailed mob-violence targeting police, Awami League affiliates and minorities – including Hindus, Ahmadiyyas and Indigenous people – while noting state failure to protect them. Religious sites were attacked, although some reported incidents were later exposed as fabricated by biased media. This Quarterly Report (January-March 2025) is based on findings from Odhikar’s defenders and media sources.
