আজ গুমের শিকার ভিক্টিমদের স্মরণে আন্তর্জাতিক সপ্তাহ ২০২৬ উপলক্ষ্যে অধিকার এশিয়ান ফেড়ারেশন এগেইন্সট ইনভ্ল্যান্টারী ডিজএয়াপিয়ারেন্স ( আফাদ) এর সহযোগিতায় দেশের ১৩টি জেলায় সভা সমাবেশ করে । সভা – সমাবেশে দেশের বিভিন্ন জেলার গুমের ভিক্টিম এবং পরিবারগুলো অংশগ্রহণ করেন।
এই সভা সমাবেশে তাঁরা গুমের সাথে জড়িতদের বিচার, গুম থেকে যারা ফেরত আসেননি তাঁদের ভাগ্যে কি ঘটেছে তা জানতে চাওয়াসহ ভিক্টিম এবং পরিবারদের ক্ষতিপূরণ প্রদান, গুম বন্ধের জন্য শক্তিশালী আইন প্রণয়ণ করার জন্য সরকারের প্রতি আহবান জানান।
Today, on the occasion of the International Week of the Disappeared 2026, #Odhikar, in collaboration with the Asian Federation Against Involuntary Disappearances (#AFAD), organized meetings and rallies in 13 districts across the country. Victims of enforced disappearance who later resurfaced alive, along with family members of disappeared victims from different districts, participated in these gatherings.
During the events, they called on the government to bring those responsible for enforced disappearances to justice, reveal the fate and whereabouts of those who have not returned, provide compensation to the victims and their families, and enact strong laws to prevent enforced disappearances.
