Odhikar has been facing extreme state repression and harassment since 2013 due to its activities. Despite ongoing harassment and obstruction by the state, Odhikar continues to highlight issues relating to human rights abuses. Government repression and interference has compelled Odhikar to apply self-censorship in its human rights reporting, due to the hindrance on freedom of expression. Despite this adverse situation, Odhikar has prepared this Human Rights Report for the first three months of 2022, based on the reports sent by the human rights defenders associated with it and information/data published in various media. This report highlights the human rights situation of Bangladesh in the first three months of 2022 (January-March).
