Rohingya Genocide Remembrance Day

Rohingya Genocide Remembrance Day is observed annually on August 25 to mark the anniversary of the mass exodus and military crackdown in Myanmar’s Rakhine State that began in 2017.

Odhikar produced a documentary : An Act of Genocide Against Myanmar’s Rohingya Muslims

The military of Burma/Myanmar was actively engaged in eliminating the Rohingya Muslims living in the Rakhine (Arakan) State for decades. In August 2017, the attacks on Rohingyas have increased. Gang-raping women, arson and killing the people of all ages by the Tatmadaw (Army) and its Buddhists associates have forced the Rohingyas to flee their homes. An act of genocide has just happened in the Rakhine (Arakan) State.

Odhikar has documented the narratives of the victims as well as the evidences of the alleged genocide from the reliable sources.
