On 31 May 2008, at the bus stand that is under construction at Shalidha, Narsingdi Poursava of the district of Narsingdi, a gathering organised by the power-loom workers to demand to increase their salary and other allowances, reducing power load-shading and justice of killing one of the worker Taslima by the owner. It was complaint from the workers that police and army attacked on their gathering and arrested 19 workers from the spot. Amongst 19, the law enforcement agency committed 12 workers to prison by showing arrest in two particular cases. Police gave up rest of 7 workers. The workers also complaint that the police lynched, shoot and thrown tear cells on the gathering.
